West Michigan Harpist & Soprano

Shannon VanZegeren is a prominent harpist and soprano, performing throughout the West Michigan area.

For as long as she can remember, she has been making music. Her earliest memories involve singing Christmas carols with her sister, accompanied by their mom on the piano.

As a harpist, she has almost twenty years of experience and study behind her. She performs with local orchestras,

plays for weddings and corporate functions, provides harp lessons, and has experience with studio recording.

She has performed in many venues such as Frederick Meijer Gardens, Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, DeVos Hall,

Royce Auditorium, and the Basilica of St. Adalbert.

As a soprano, Shannon has studied musical theatre and opera with Diane Penning

and took masterclass vocal coaching with Mairéad Carlin, formerly of Celtic Woman.

She performed as a soprano member of the Chamber Choir of Grand Rapids for three seasons

and released her debut EP Nowhere to Go, comprised of self-written songs, in February 2021.
